Well I met with my old friend today, a guy I was so close to I called brother. Someone who knew me better than anyone else ever had. We hadn't spoken in five years due to some stupid fight we had in our youth. Today we sat in a small cafe in Salem in a small back room at a small table lit only by a small lamp, but this was a big occasion. He looked a little different from last time I saw him, but he wasn't so different than the brother I knew. His views had changed a little since the last time too, but it was still him. I could barely contain myself during the talk and I prattled on like a kid in class who's too excited about giving a book report. I had so much to say and I felt that if I didn't say it all I may never get the chance, like fate would once more take my brother away from me and I would never get to exchange words with him again.

Saying goodbye after nearly two hours of talking was hard, it felt like I didn't say enough, like I didn't get enough time to tell him how much all the lost time hurt. But with that hurt comes the promise of time also healing and growing in strength and making our brotherhood stronger than ever.
